Marine Upsets is a traveling exhibition held at the Maison de la Culture Ahuntsic-Cartierville, highlighting the influences and artistic practice in multiple languages explored by Carmelle Pilon. Concerned about the relationship between the individual and his environment, the artist devoted herself to research on the upheavals of our oceans, thus nourishing her thinking and creating her first prints and paintings around this central theme.

Over the last decade, Carmelle Pilon, a visual artist, has developed an artistic practice that is expressed through various mediums, such as painting, printed art and installation. Its catalog includes more than 260 works, 172 of which are part of private and corporate collections.

In addition to the technical design and implementation, we imagined the scenography of this exhibition as an intuitive and dynamic journey. We chose to group the works from time to time to create contemplative moments, thus recalling the movement of the waves represented in all the canvases. This experience is complemented by a soundtrack accompanying the exhibition, a musical composition by the Franco-Iranian artist Arash Khalatbari.

Interpretation tools made it possible to enhance this collection and create a real emotional experience.
