ILLUSTRER UN TRAUMATISME CRÂNIEN
EPHEMERAL EXHIBITION - AUCTION
"Illustrer un traumatisme crânien" was an exhibition that took place during the 14th fundraising event of the Martin-Matte Foundation, raising a total of $401,000 for the cause. This foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and adults living with a traumatic brain injury or physical disability. The foundation enlisted several visual artists to illustrate their vision of a traumatic brain injury, including Brigitte Matte, Pierre Brassard, Anabel Roy, Françoise Legris, Sévrine Dumais, Karina Isabelle, Daniel Grenier, Patrick Seymour, Claudine Mercier, and Helena Rakic.
An exhibition space was reserved in the Olympia room in Montreal, with four mobile partitions grouped to create a single exhibition surface. Our mission was to arrange the selected artworks, which featured various formats and styles such as painting, drawing, photography, collage, and digital art. We had to harmonize these different pieces in a way that highlighted each one while forming a coherent whole. The main technical challenge was coordinating the joints of the partitions based on the placement of each frame.
This charity auction raised funds to support those in need while providing an opportunity to discover and engage with the works of these talented Quebec artists!
